How to register for PS4 System Software 4.0 Beta right now

Tired of the same old PlayStation? You can now sign up to beta test brand new PS4 system software, if you’re willing…
Sony has opened up registration for the System Software 4.0 Beta Test. That means anybody with a PlayStation 4 can enroll to try out a revamped version of the PS4 OS that hasn’t been released to the general public.
How to get PS4 System Software 4.0 Beta
To sign up, all you need to do is head over to this link (register here) and follow the instructions on the page.
If you’re already part of the program, you’ll receive an e-mail that contains instructions on how to download the beta version of the next system software. To do this, you’ll need a PS4 with an internet connection, plus access to a Master Account.
It’s also worth noting that if you’re not happy with the new software, you can always roll back to the previous version (v3.55) at any time.
Don’t forget to sign up to the PlayStation Forums too. That way you’ll be able to access the exclusive beta forums and discuss new features with other testers. Sony says it actively monitors the forums for feedback throughout the feedback, so your criticisms have a real chance of changing PlayStation software for the better.
What’s new in PS4 System Software 4.0?
Sony hasn’t detailed what new features will be offered in the new software, unfortunately. That information will come in early August when the beta actually goes live.

This isn’t the first time Sony has put a system update out for testing. The gaming giant also ran betas for PS4’s 3.00 and 350 system software updates, giving participants a chance to see upcoming features before they were rolled out, including Events and Communities.
