All signs point to the unveiling of the PS4 Neo, sometimes known as the PS4K or PS4.5 console. The likelihood of this occurring increased dramatically when Sony announced the name for tonight’s event, with a similar moniker also used when it debuted the PS4 back in February 2013.
The PS4 Neo -– or whatever Sony decides to call it – is expected to support 4K games and provide more power to enhance experiences on the forthcoming PSVR headset.
The company has also announced that you will be able to watch the event directly on PlayStation Blog, as well as on its Twitch and YouTube accounts.
It’ll go into direct competition with the upgraded Xbox One S machine, which was first announced at E3 and released in August.
In addition Sony is being tipped to reveal the PS4 Slim at tonight’s event, thought to be a smaller and more efficient version of its existing console intended for entry-level consumers.
