Sony CMT-BT80WB and Sony CMT-BT60W audio systems launched

Sony has released two new audio systems as part of its 2013 range, the Sony CMT-BT80WB and Sony CMT-BT60W.

The pricier model, the Sony CMT-BT80WB, comes equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity, but both models offer NFC and Bluetooth for music streaming from smart devices played through its Magnetic Fluid Speakers .

Both speakers have a desirable slimline design with angular detailing, but still pack powerful, room-filling sound via their Magnetic Fluid Speaker system and S-Master Amplifier.

Users can opt to play CDs or listen to the radio via the inbuilt DAB/FM tuner, or connect a smart device for wireless music streaming using Bluetooth. Any NFC-enabled smartphone, like the Sony Xperia Z, Samsung Galaxy S4 or HTC One, can also be touched to the Sony CMT-BT80WB and Sony CMT-BT60W audio systems for a hassle-free wireless connection too.

The Sony CMT-BT80WB also comes with Wi-Fi and Apple AirPlay functionality as well as a USB connection for increased connectivity and playback options. The Sony CMT-BT60W is equipped with a USB hook-up, but for charging purposes only.

Audio is enhanced by 40W RMS output on both models, with the S-Master Amplifier offering an equaliser, Bass Booster and Sony’s Digital Sound Enhancement Engine, which according to Sony will guarantee crisp, clear sound playback with the depth your music and audio tracks deserve.

The Sony CMT-BT60W comes in a stylish black finish, whilst the Sony CMT-BT80WB (pictured) is available in silver.

Both the Sony CMT-BT80WB and the Sony CMT-BT60W will be available from June 2013. Sony has yet to announce any pricing details for either audio system.
