A PlayStation employee has created a custom DualShock 4 controller for a PS4 gamer suffering from cerebral palsy.
College student Peter Byrne had emailed Sony expressing how his condition made it more difficult to use the pad, thanks to the positioning of the touchpad.
New Jersey native Byrne found himself inadvertently pausing the game after continually coming into contact with the centrally-positioned feature.

The mod was concocted by Alex Nawabi of Sony’s R&D team, who apparently made them in 10 hours during his spare time.
“Inside was the letter and this controller that is now modified especially for me,” Byrne says. “He said that it’s the first time he’s ever done something like this.”
Before all you cynics get ahold of this story, there’s nothing to suggest Sony actively sought publicity for this.
