Sony Bravia 65-inch 4K TV announced at CES 2013

Sony has expanded its 4K collection, with the company’s CES 2013 press conference seeing the Japanese tech giant unveil a new 65-inch Sony Bravia 4K TV dubbed the Sony XBR-65X900A.

Lining up alongside a new 55-inch 4K model, the newly unveiled Sony XBR-65X900A 65-inch 4K TV joins the existing 84-inch 4K offering as a UHD offering from the Bravia manufacturer that also took the opportunity of CES 2013 to launch a range of revised LED models.

“The 2013 Bravia line continues our acclaimed commitment to delivering the best picture quality at every model segment and with two new sizes, the amazing 4K TV experience will now be within reach of many more consumers,” Mike Lucas, senior vice president of Sony Electronics’ Home Division said.

“The 84-inch XBR 4K LED TV is an impressive sight and a status symbol for sure, but these new sizes mean that the beauty of Sony 4K can be experienced in any home environment.”

Sony Bravia XBR-65X900A Specs
Featuring a raft of high-end tech features, the Sony Bravia XBR-65X900A 65-inch 4K TV offers users a bevy of performance bolstering inclusions such as the company’s 4K X-Relaity PRO picture engine which helps reduce visual noise and auto corrects image shapes for improved playback.

Far from a simple specs sheet booming title, the Sony Bravia XBR-65X900A’s 4K credentials see the unit rock stunning picture quality with the four-times Full HD resolution setting the device out as a league apart from most modern LED offerings.

Whilst the unit’s Triluminos display sports LED backlighting from bolder, more true-to-life colours, the 4K TV benefits from a selection of Smart TV features, with integrated Wi-Fi connectivity options helping users gain instant access to Sony’s Smart TV solutions. More than just visually appealing, the Sony XBR-65X900A boasts impressive sound options too, hosting an end-to-end Sony audio solution with Signal-to-Sound Architecture.

Sony Bravia XBR-65X900A Release Date and Price
Whilst a precise Sony XBR-65X900A UK release date is still up in the air, the Sony Xperia Z manufacturer has confirmed that the latest 65-inch and 55-inch $K TV offerings will touch down in the US a matter of months with the company stating “the X series of 4K LED TVs will be available in Spring 2013 at Sony Stores and select electronics retailers.”

Although detailed pricing has yet to be confirmed, Sony has suggested that the new 4K offerings will feature “prices that put 4K within reach of a wider audience.”
