Sony announces Xperia Z1f as 4.3-inch Z1

Sony has announced a smaller version of its newly launched Sony Xperia Z1 in the form of the Sony Xperia Z1f.
Although its only coming to the Japanese market for now, the Sony Xperia Z1f retains many of the features showcased by the flagship Xperia Z1, including its 20.7-megapixel G Lens Camera.
The Sony Xperia Z1f was unveiled at a DoCoMo event with a December release date but Sony didn’t say when or if the Sony Xperia Z1f will be making its way to the UK.
Sony Xperia Z1f Features
The Sony Xperia Z1f has a 4.3-inch 720p HD resolution display with a powerful quad-core 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 processor and 2GB of RAM running the show. Despite its smaller screen, the Xperia Z1f still weighs 140g, but that could be due to all the supercharged components hidden beneath its slim frame.
Like the Sony Xperia Z1, the Xperia Z1f has a 20.7-megapixel 1/2.3-inch Exmor RS CMOS sensor, Sony G Lens and a Bionz image processing engine. The rear camera has a f2.0 and 27mm wide angle lens as well as 3x digital zoom.
The new 4.3-inch smartphone runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with Sony’s latest UI overladen. It also is available in black, white, lime and a rather vivid pink.
The Xperia X1f has 16GB of internal storage rather than the 32GB available with the Xperia Z1, and measures up at a rather large 124 x 65 x 9.4mm.
Following suit with siblings like the Sony Xperia Z and Sony Xperia Z Ultra, the Xperia Z1f is also waterproof, dustproof and make from glass with aluminium finishes.
It is powered by a 2,300mAh rather than the 3,000mAh battery of the flagship, but this shouldn’t affect battery life as it has a smaller, lower resolution screen to power.
