Ever wanted to play Steam games on the move? Well you’ll be able to soon.
The Smach Zero, a handheld Steam Machine, has now been confirmed to launch in the fourth quarter of 2016, as reported by Polygon.
It’s also been given a price tag of $299, 299 Euros, and £299 in the UK.
That puts it in the same price region as both the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, despite being a handheld device.
The Smach Zero was first unveiled back at E3 in 2014, although it was being peddled to press under the moniker “SteamBoy” at the time.
The system runs on Valve’s SteamOS, and sports a 5in display with a 720p resolution.
Powering the device is an AMD G-Series “Steppe Eagle” system-on-a-chip with a Jaguar-based CPU and GCN-based Radeon graphics.
Also packed inside the handheld kit is 4GB of RAM, a 32GB flash storage module, an SD card slot, USB connection, HDMI output, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. It also features configurable tactile gamepads on the front of the unit.
A pro version of the console will offer support for 4G/LTE networks.

According to the creators of the Smach Zero, the console will have access to around 1,000 games at launch.
