Slingbox M1 comes to UK and Europe

Sling Media has finally brought its award-winning Slingbox M1 media player to the UK and Europe.
The Slingbox M1, which launched in the US last year, allows you to relay your regular TV content in full 1080p HD to any other connected device over a Wi-Fi connection.
That includes smartphones, tablets, laptops, and even other TVs. It’s possible to stream your media content to another TV through an Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV Stick, Google Chromecast, or Roku device by downloading the Slingplayer app from the relevant app store.
As Sling Media points out, the Slingbox M1 is ideal for frequent travellers who want to watch live sport or news events while away from home.
This isn’t the first Slingbox to make its way to the UK, of course, but it is quite possibly the best yet.

“The Slingbox M1 sets a new standard for ease of set-up and use, while delivering incredible value for the pay-TV satellite subscribers that we have always targeted with our products and services,” said Sling Media senior VP Michael Hawkey.
“With a Slingbox M1 that has been completely localised for customers, we’re delivering the most affordable Slingbox packed with the most robust set of features that we believe will significantly expand the mobile TV and video market.”
The Slingbox M1 is available in the UK from today for £129. It’s available from a number of leading retailers, including PC World, Currys, Amazon, and Maplin.
