Skylanders Academy is looking adorable in this new trailer

Netflix has released the debut trailer for Skylanders Academy, an exclusive animated show based on the popular toys-to-life franchise.

The first season of the cutesy animated adventure is coming to the streaming service on October 28, with a second series to follow in 2017.

Helmed by showrunner Eric Rogers of Futurama fame, the show stars the likes of Justin Long (Dodgeball) as Spyro, Ashley Tisdale (High School Musical) as Stealth Elf and Jonathan Banks (Breaking Bad) as Eruptor.

This diverse and clearly talented cast should make for a fun and fresh animated outing. Check out the trailer below:

The latest game in the Skylanders franchise, Skylanders Imaginators, is coming to PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Wii U on October 14.

We scored it a fun-loving 8/10 in our recent review, describing it as “arguably the best game in series” with a fantastic blend of combat, puzzling and platforming perfect for new and existing fans.
