Sky Q just came to Android and iOS, huzzah!
Sky has launched its Sky Q phone app for iOS and Android, to accompany the existing app for tablets.
The new software allows you to set remote recordings, live stream content, and access on-demand programmes through your phone.
It also lets you download shows recorded on your Sky Q box, allowing you to watch the recordings on the go, and provides Sky’s Top Picks of content recommended for you.

You’ll need a Sky Q subscription in order to access all the functionality, of course, and you’ll need a Sky Mutliscreen subscription in in order to download recordings onto your phone.
It’s also worth noting you’ll have to download shows over Wi-Fi before leaving the house, as you won’t be able to download once you’re out and away from your home network.
Sky recently debuted its new VR app and is preparing to launch its own phone network, Sky Mobile, which will use the O2 network, with further details set to be announced later this year.
The company also announced that, as of this month, the Sky Q box will replace the HD box as standard, effectively making all Sky subscribers, Sky Q customers.
The new Sky Q mobile app is available now on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
