Sky in 4K: Movies, Sport, and TV in Ultra HD – coming August 13

Ready for 4K on Sky? Good, because you can finally access Ultra HD content on Sky Q from August 13 this year.
Today, Sky announced that it plans to launch the UK’s “most comprehensive” Ultra HD service on Sky Q Silver, kicking off on August 13. Sky says you’ll be able to watch Premier League football, exclusive blockbuster movies, and plenty more, all in glorious 4K quality.
Some of the content you’ll be able to watch includes:
- 124 live Premier League games, including the first game of the new season (Hull City v Leicester City)
- Over 70 movies, including Spectre, The Revenant, The Martian, and Bridge of Spies
- Over 30 Sky Store rental movies, including Angry Birds, Ghostbusters, and Men In Black
- Every race from Formula 1 2017

If you want to watch Ultra HD, you’ll need a Sky Q Silver box and subscription, as well as a compatible Ultra HD TV. You’ll need a Sky Q Silver bundle to watch documentaries and entertainment, and Sky Sports and Sky Cinema subscriptions to watch sports and movies. Anyone with a Sky Q Silver box can rent Sky Store movies, however.
