Sims 4 coming to Mac later today
The Sims 4 will be released on Mac today, February 17, EA Games has confirmed.
EA Games will make the Mac version of The Sims 4 available via Origin today, February 17.
The Mac version will go live after 6pm GMT (7pm CET, 10am PST or 5am February 18 in Australia).
Anyone who already owns the PC version of The Sims 4 will be able to activate the Mac version free of charge, or vice versa.
This is also true for the Outdoor Retreat game pack, so if you buy it on PC now you can pick up the Mac version for free later today.
Here’s how it’ll work:
“In Origin only one version exists. When downloading the game, Origin automatically detects what platform you are on and will download the correct version. So if you have a Mac now and decide to switch to PC in the future, you also don’t need to rebuy the game. Actually, you can even have the game installed on a PC and a Mac within the same household”, explains the EA Answers website.
