Silent Hill P.T. inspired Allison Road gets a horrifying new trailer

Silent Hill P.T. may be dead, but it’s living on in spiritual successors like Allison Road, which just got a horrifying new trailer.

Konami might have murdered its Silent Hill remake starring Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus and its Playable Trailer (P.T.), but it was inevitable that dozens of games would be inspired by its spooky boo scares.

Allison Road is one of the first and it’s clearly inspired by Silent Hill and its promo demo, but it’s a lot more literal and set in a British terraced house.

Developer Lillith Ltd, which is a studio made up of just six people, has released a full 1080p HD 13-minute gameplay trailer to show off the current prototype of the game.

Not only is it ridiculously pretty, but there’s definite tension in the atmosphere and a whole lot of terror to be had.

We like the fact there’s loads of stuff to pick up and investigate inside the house, although the narrator’s mumblings do get on the nerves somewhat.

If you think the trailer’s a bit arbitary and doesn’t explain a lot, then that’s the point. Remember that this is a prototype trailer, just being used to show off an overview of the gameplay.

“In order to do that without spoiling any of the story, we decided to separate it from the actual game,” explained Lillith Ltd. “so while this is real gameplay, it’s not what you’ll see in the full version of the game.”

There’s no word on a release date or platforms for Allison Road as yet.
