Shenmue 1 and 2 remaster could be coming to consoles later this year
The first two titles in the Shenmue series may be coming to PS4 and Xbox One, according to a number of listings at online retailers.
Throughout this past weekend a selection of pages detailing a remaster double pack emerged on sites including Alza, Heureka and MadGamer.
Few details are revealed in each listing beyond a loose 2017 release window, which is subject to change once, and if, an official announcement comes to light.
SEGA registered domains for Shenmue HD and remasters for each title back in January 2017, so we could see confirmation of the bundle in the near future.

SEGA and YS Net are yet to comment on the mysterious remaster, which hasn’t received an official announcement at the time of writing.
A remastered collection of the two Dreamcast classics would be wonderful to see ahead of Shenmue 3’s long awaited release, which isn’t due until 2018 and is being published by Deep Silver.
We’re certain there are plenty of players who haven’t experienced Shenmue at all, making a potential remaster a great opportunity to catch up on the story so far.
Originally launching in 1999 and 2001 respectively, Shenmue and its sequel have gone down in gaming history as some of the most unique (and expensive) projects of all time. Here’s hoping the third entry lives up to the hype.
