Shazam readies Apple Watch app for launch

Ahead of the wearable’s imminent release, the Apple Watch just gained support for another high-profile app courtesy of Shazam.
The music discovery service has jumped the gun, confirming its Apple Watch app will be available for download when the eagerly awaited smartwatch starts shipping this Friday, April 24.
According to Daniel Danker, Shazam’s Chief Product Officer, the company’s Apple Watch app will utilise the wearable’s integrated microphone to allow users to find out what song is playing direct from their wrist.
Further features heading to the Moto 360 and LG G Watch R rival include the ability to access lyrics for songs, handoff searches to the synced iPhone and the ability to see past Shazams.
“Shazam is so excited about being featured at the #AppleLive event this morning with out super cool new home on Apple Watch,” Danker said.
