Samsung just made a 70-minute feature film – about a washing machine

If you’re desperately searching for a movie to watch this Christmas, Samsung has your back. The firm’s latest title, Washing Machine: The Feature Film, will take you on the epic journey of a full wash cycle – complete with music.

We aren’t kidding. Washing Machine: The Feature Film, which is the sequel to a three-minute commercial Samsung aired in the United Kingdom in November, follows a QuickDrive washer as it completes a rigorous cleaning sequence.

“Washing Machine: The Feature Film will get fans of slow cinema in a lather with full uncensored, moment-by-moment footage of a full wash cycle,” said Samsung at the title’s premiere (again, we aren’t kidding) in London earlier this month.

Here’s the best bit: You don’t need a Netflix subscription – or even one of 2017’s best Kodi boxes– to peep behind the curtain of life as a state-of-the-art washing machine. Samsung has uploaded the 70-minute movie to YouTube, so you can watch it for free.

Understandably, Washing Machine: The Feature Film isn’t going to tickle everyone’s fancy. If you find yourself wanting something with a little more, well, action, be sure to check out our extensive list of the best box sets on offer this holiday season.
