Samsung’s Iron Man Galaxy S6 Edge is coming next week

Get your red and gold cosplay costume at the ready; Samsung has confirmed that avid Iron Man fans will be able to snap up an Avengers-themed Galaxy S6 Edge next week.

Having previously teased the superhero-skinned handset, the Korean manufacturer has now offered up the first tantalising look at the inbound device, as well as narrowing down when the handset will fly in to the realms of reality.

In a teaser image posted on the company’s official Korean Facebook page, the Galaxy S6 maker has confirmed that the eagerly awaited handset is “coming next week”.

What’s more, the render has shown that the phone will feature an Iron Man mask marked into the rear of the high-end device.

Although precise availability has yet to be confirmed, last week the manufacturer announced that the special edition handset will be offered in an selection of yet to be determined regions.

It is believed that the handset will feature an Iron Man-esque red front and rear, with gold edging and accenting finishing off the Tony Stark-themed finish.

Paint job and wallpaper additions aside, it is believed that the Iron Man S6 Edge will be identical to its traditional curved-screened sibling beneath the surface.

The Edge pairs a 5.1-inch, side-encompassing QHD display with a 64-bit Exynos processor, 3GB of RAM and a 16-megapixel, OIS-enhanced primary camera.
