Samsung plotting seriously powerful Galaxy Note 6 – report

The Galaxy Note 6 will retain Samsung’s reputation as the phablet-maker to beat, according to new information leaked online.

A report out of China claims that the Galaxy Note 6 will feature class-leading specs. For instance, it’s alleged that the Galaxy Note 6 will feature a 5.77-inch display with a 2K (QHD) resolution.

What’s more, the phone is tipped to run on Qualcomm’s latest – and top-end – Snapdragon 823 processor. The Snapdragon 823 is an upgraded version of the Snapdragon 820, which is the chip that powers the LG G5 and Samsung Galaxy S7 (in some regions, anyway).

This information comes courtesy of Gizmo China, which cites a post on social media site Weibo as its source.

The report goes on to claim that the Galaxy Note 6 will also feature 6GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, a sizable 4,200mAh battery, and an IP68 waterproof body – just like the Galaxy S7.

Of course, as we’re unable to verify the information offered by Gizmo China, take this report with due caution.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is expected to arrive within the coming months. Most rumours point to a launch window that runs from mid-July to September 2016.

Unfortunately, Samsung is keeping a lid on official details about the phone, so there’s no telling whether it even exists.
