Samsung Outs Updated Netbooks & Notebooks

N110, N120, Q320 and R522 announced.

Samsung is clearly not content with announcing one new netbook, the N310, this week. Today the company has ousted four more systems; the N110, N120, Q320 and R522.

While the N110 is a pretty unsurprising successor to the NC10 netbook, the N120 is touted as a more premium offering, as evidenced by the “full-size 12in notebook style keyboard” it sports. The N110 boasts 9.3 hours of operation from a 6-cell battery, with the N120 bettering that with a claimed 10.5 hours operation and the latter also packs enhanced speakers.

On the notebook front the Q320 looks a fairly incremental upgrade to the Q310. The biggest change seems to be a shift to a 13.4in 16:9 aspect ratio LED-backlit screen of unspecified resolution (1,280 x 720 seems likely based on the Q310). Graphics come courtesy an nVidia 105M and battery life is claimed at 4.6 hours. A slot-loading DVD drive is also fairly nifty – although less of a novelty these days.

The R522 also sports a 16:9 “HD” screen, this time a 15.6in offering. Four USB ports are on hand, one of which is able to provide power even with the notebook turned off and another of which doubles as an eSATA port.

Pricing isn’t available yet, but with release of all four systems mooted for next month, we shouldn’t be waiting long to find out.
