Samsung NX1100 manual released ahead of launch

Samsung has leaked the Samsung NX1100 manual, confirming its existence and a number of its features ahead of an official launch into the bargain.

Samsung appears to have released the manual for its Samsung NX1100 mirrorless compact system camera ahead of an official unveiling. The manual reveals that the camera will be, perhaps unsurprisingly, much like the Samsung NX1000 launched last year.

This means that it’ll likely be the new entry point to the Samsung NX range.

The Samsung NX1100 will feature a 20.3-megapixel CMOS image sensor, which is the same as the Samsung NX1000’s example. It also appears to feature the same 3-inch 921k resolution LCD display.

ISO range is 100 to 12,800, while burst mode can take up to 30 shots per second. The NX1100 features contrast autofocus and face detection for up to 10 faces.

Video can be captured up to 1080p Full HD at a choice of 24fps and 30fps – all as you might expect. You can also expect Wi-Fi to be present for beaming all your photos over to your computer wirelessly.

As Photo Rumors points out, the manual does list the availability of a new Samsung 50-200mm f/4-5.6 ED OIS II lens, though of course this is applicable to the wider Samsung lens ecosystem, so Samsung NX1000 owners will be able to benefit.

What do you think of the Samsung NX1100 at this point? Is it a potential Sony NEX-3N killer, or is Samsung playing it too safe with its relatively unchanged feature-set? Let us know in the comments section below, or take to the Trusted Reviews Twitter and Facebook feeds to have your say.
