Samsung Nexus 2 and Nexus 7 32GB leaked?

New models belonging to Google’s Nexus range have appeared on a leaked image of a retailer’s inventory screen. The Samsung Nexus 2 and the Nexus 7 32GB are likely to be fairly minor revisions, but they could be imminent.

As the image above shows, at least one major mobile retailer has info on the next round of Nexus devices. Someone took a sly snap of a Carphone Warehouse inventory screen and shared it with Droid-Life.

The Samsung Nexus 2 is probably the bigger story here. The original Samsung Galaxy Nexus is approaching a year old now, so you can bet your bottom dollar a successor is imminent – and that speculation will be ramping up around the internet any day now.

In fact, if you believe all the varied reports over the past few months, there’s to be more than a single Nexus smartphone this coming refresh period. It’s believed that as well as Samsung, the likes of LG and Sony have also won the right to produce Nexus-branded handsets.

Whether the Samsung iteration will be a major improvement over the original Samsung Galaxy Nexus is debatable. Some have claimed it will be a subtle revamp, with a similar dual-core CPU clocked to 1.5GHz and an 8-megapixel camera, rather than a Galaxy S3-topping powerhouse.

We have a much better idea of what the Nexus 7 32GB will be, of course – a Nexus 7 with double the memory!

With no expandable memory (a big thing in Android-land), some found the original choice of 8GB or 16GB models a little restrictive. This 32GB model should prove attractive to many who were holding out for something a little more capacious. It’ll almost definitely cost you more than £200, though.

Expect to hear much more on both devices over the coming weeks and months.
