UPDATED: Samsung NC310 Claims 11 Hour Battery Life

Update: full spec list, RRP and official photography added.

Samsung’s next netbook doesn’t look to be as incremental an upgrade from the – wonderful – NC10 as might have been expected. This is both good and bad. On the plus side there’s a purported battery life of five or 11 hours with a standard or extended batter life respectively. On the downside, the NC310 looks unerringly like a bar of soap.

According to Akihabara News, from where this leak originates, the CPU used in the NC310 isn’t specified. Unless my eyes deceive me there’s an Intel logo stuck under the keyboard so we can almost certainly expect an Atom chip of some sort.

What is known is that the NC310 sports a 10.1in screen, 1GB of RAM and a 160GB hard drive. Connectivity comes in in the form of Bluetooth, WiFi and HSDPA – with WiMAX offered, but probably only in countries where doing so is worthwhile (read: not the UK methinks).

Apparently the NC310 will launch globally “pretty soon.”

Official press release just it. Atom confirmed, available in May.
