Samsung has sent out invites for the Samsung Mobile Unpacked 2012 event, set to take place in Berlin on August 29th. But what will we see?
Samsung is keeping quiet on what might be revealed, although it does offer its customary teaser. The phrase “When magical moments come alive” accompanies what looks like a magic wand. Is that a tapered, stylus-shaped end we can see?
It’s widely believed that this signifies the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. There is form here too – last year’s Samsung Mobile Unpacked event saw the launch of the original Samsung Galaxy Note, which went on to sell very well indeed.
It’s believed that the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will feature an even larger 5.5-inch display and an improved CPU – expect to see a similar quad-core Exynos GPU to that found in the Samsung Galaxy S3. It might even see a speed boost to 1.6GHz mark, though frankly that’s not really necessary.
Some remaining questions: will the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 come with a 12-megapixel camera, or will it stick with the Galaxy S3’s 8-megapixel unit? And will it ship with Android Jelly Bean, or Ice Cream Sandwich?
We’ll find out the definitive answers to all these questions and more on August 29.
