New 7MP and 8MP models are budget-priced point-and-shooters
Samsung has announced two new additions to its digital camera range, just in time for Christmas. The 7 mega pixel S760 and the 8 mega pixel S860 are both easy-to-use snapshot cameras ideal for the holiday season. Apart from the sensor resolution, the two cameras are identical. Both feature 3x optical zoom lenses, 2.4-inch LCD monitors, 11 scene modes, 1000 ISO maximum sensitivity and face detection technology. They also have “digital image stabilisation”, but that may simply be an ISO boost feature.
The Samsung S760 and S860 will be available in a choice of black, silver, pink or blue, and go on sale from January 2008 at an RRP of £79.99 for the S760 and a price still to be confirmed for the S860.
