Samsung Gear S3 smartwatch is finally up for pre-order in UK

Two months after its unveiling, the Samsung Gear S3 smartwatch is finally available to throw money at in the UK.

Samsung is now accepting pre-orders for the Gear S3, with an official release date set for November 11, 2016. There are two designs to choose from – the Frontier and the Classic – both of which will cost you £349. That marks it as one of the more expensive smartwatches, and puts it alongside the similarly premium Apple Watch Series 2 (£369).

if you pre-order either of the new Gear S3 smartwatches before 19:00 (GMT) on November 10, 2016, you’ll also receive a free pair of Level Active headphones. However, this offer is only available for the first 1,000 pre-orders – so act quickly if you’re set on buying one.

Samsung Gear S3

Samsung announced the Gear S3 smartwatch on August 31, 2016. It runs on Samsung’s custom-built Tizen OS, rather than the more popular Google-built Android Wear, and features a traditional circular design with a 1.3-inch Super AMOLED display (360 x 360 pixels). The wearable is powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 7270 chip, and features 4GB of storage, 768MB of RAM, and a 380mAh battery that supports wireless charging.
