Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch teased for September launch

Samsung has just confirmed the launch timeframe for its next wearable.
The South Korean tech giant has teased the unveiling of the Gear S2 smartwatch at today’s Samsung Unpacked event, alongside the new Note 5 and S6 Edge+.
The Gear S2 is the long-awaited sequel to last year’s Samsung Gear S.
The device was rumoured to launch today, but now it looks like we won’t see it until September.
Speaking at the event,
That’s set to run over the first week of September, and will likely host the launch of several new smartwatches from big name companies.
So what can we expect to see from the Gear S2?
Samsung already teased some details about a new smartwatch at a recent Tizen developer conference.
As such, we know that the device will run on Samsung’s custom-built Tizen operating system.
It’s also expected to have a 360 x 360 pixel round face that’s circled by a rotating bezel that will act as a control input.
Specs include an Exynos 3472 dual-core processor with 768MB of memory, 4GB of storage, and a 250mAh battery.
It’s also tipped to feature Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity, Wi-Fi support, a gyroscope, GPS, a barometer, and a heart rate sensor.
