Samsung Galaxy TabPRO range unveiled in a trio of sizes

Samsung has added to its already bulging tablet collection, with a trio of new Samsung Galaxy TabPRO devices officially unveiled at CES 2014.

An enhancement on its existing Galaxy Tab lines, the new Samsung Galaxy TabPRO range hits three different areas of the market, with an 8.4-inch tablet lining up alongside a classic 10.1-inch offering and an oversized 12.2-inch option.

Targeting more business-orientated users that its core Galaxy Tab range, the new TabPRO collection will line up alongside the newly confirmed Samsung Galaxy NotePRO and run the all new Samsung Magazine UX.

Samsung Galaxy TabPRO Features
Despite the varying screen sizes and form factors, there is very little difference in the specs of the three new ‘PRO’ range tablets. The Samsung Galaxy TabPRO line-up sees the trio of models all sport to WQXGA panels with stunning 2560 x 1600 pixel resolutions.

As well as highly impressive visuals, all three tablets offer plenty of grunt under the hood with a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor running the show.

In the only major specs alteration, while the 12.2-inch Samsung Galaxy TabPRO model features 3GB of RAM, the same as the identically sized Samsung Galaxy NotePRO, the 10.1-inch and 8.4-inch tablets host ‘just’ 2GB of RAM.

Continuing the uniformed specs sheets, all three Samsung Galaxy TabPRO offers are set to hit retailers with a pair of cameras in tow, an 8-megapixel rear-mounted offering and a 2-megapixel snapper up front. Available with the option of 32GB or 64GB of internal storage and with Wi-Fi only, or Wi-Fi plus 3G/LTE connectivity options, the TabPRO line will launch later this quarter.

Away from the hardware side of things and the TabPRO range is all change. With the TouchWiz OS knocked on the head, the new models boast a refined Magazine UX, an amalgamation of sorts of Android and Windows 8 features that brings a bevy of information to the fore.

Samsung Galaxy TabPRO Release Date and Price

In a manner that is becoming something of a habit for the manufacturer, Samsung has failed to narrow down a Samsung Galaxy TabPRO release date beyond March. It is also currently unclear how much the new models will cost or indeed whether the three form factors will launch separately or together.
