Did Samsung reveal new Galaxy feature before Note 7 launch?

Samsung is expected to launch a brand new smartphone feature next week, and this could be it.
Samsung’s long-rumoured ‘Smart Glow’ notification ring has been given an early debut by tech blog Sammobile. The website has published supposed images of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy J2, which clearly depict the ‘Smart Glow’ ring on the back of the device.
Samsung’s ‘Smart Glow’ is said to be a new lighting ring that circles the rear camera on a smartphone. It’s reportedly intended to function as a replacement for the notification light featured on Android smartphones, and will allegedly be colour-customisable, i.e. you can change the colour of lighting depending on the type of notification.

However, it’s also reported that Samsung intends to use the ring to improve selfies. The ring could potentially light up when the camera detects a face, making it much easier to take photographs with the rear-facing primary camera.
Samsung is expected to show off the new feature on the Galaxy J2 (2016), tipped for launch in India next week. If the feature proves a success, there’s every chance that it could also appear on upcoming Samsung phones like the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 or the Samsung Galaxy S8.
