Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom leaks with 19-megapixel camera
With the Samsung Galaxy S5 set to hit retailers in less than a month, latest leaks have suggested that a spin-off Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom is in the works with a 19-megapixel camera.
According to latest reports, the as yet unconfirmed Samsung Galaxy S5 Zoom has landed with the GFXBench database, with the phone’s prematurely outed specs sheet pointing to a device cut from a similar cloth as last year’s Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom.

Based on the leaked benchmarking of the phone, a handset that has reportedly been undergoing tests since the start of the year,
Although the Samsung Galaxy S5 features a 5.1-inch, 1080p Full HD display, it has been claimed that the S5 Zoom will run a smaller 4.8-inch, 720p HD panel. Last year’s S4 Zoom played host to a smaller screen than the flagship Samsung Galaxy S4.
With the Samsung Galaxy S5 tipped to run Google’s latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS, the leaks also suggest the handset will benefit from 16GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD.
While Samsung has yet to make any formal announcements regarding Samsung Galaxy S5 spinoffs, we would be surprised if the Korean manufacturer didn’t continue with its ‘Mini’ and ‘Zoom’ lines in 2014.
No word has yet surfaced on when we can expect to see the S5 Zoom enter the realms of reality but, with the Samsung Galaxy S5 release date set for April 11, we can’t imagine it launching for a number of months yet.
