Samsung Galaxy S5 QHD display inclusion teased once again
Continuing the ever revolving flow of Samsung Galaxy S5 rumours flowing, latest reports have once again tipped the handset to boast a QHD display.
With the Samsung Galaxy S5 widely expected to sport a 2K resolution screen, serial tech tipster @evleaks has once again used Twitter to offer up details on the upcoming handset, with a leaked apk. file said to be from the handset teasing a QHD panel.
As well as suggesting that Samsung has officially settled on the Samsung Galaxy S5 branding for its next-gen flagship phone, shocking we know, the Twitter-based tipster has offered yet more insight into the handset’s potential specs sheet.
Tweeting “also from Samsung Galaxy S5,” the latest tease has been accompanied by an apk file entitled “3DTourViewer_WQHD_K-apk.”
The “WQHD” aspect of this file name is what’s of interest, with naming seemingly giving yet more backing to the claims of an screen resolution significantly better than HD. It has been suggested that the phone’s screen will sport a 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution.
Further Samsung Galaxy S5 rumours have seen additional apk files point to the phone bragging its own integrated fingerprint scanner, much in the same vein as that featured on the rival iPhone 5S.
With a Samsung Galaxy S5 release date widely expected to be held in mid-March, it is believed that the handset will run a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor alongside 3GB of RAM and Google’s latest Android 4.4 KitKat operating system.
