Specs for the Samsung Galaxy S5 Dx, or better known as the S5 Mini, have been leaked in new benchmarks.
The Galaxy S5 Dx specs have popped up in GFXBench benchmarks and suggest that the device will be a mid-range handset as expected.
According to the benchmarks we can expect a 4.8-inch touchscreen with a 1280 x 720p HD resolution running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.4GHz with 1.3GB of RAM.
Internal storage looks to be around the 16GB mark, but you should get microSD card support too as with the flagship Samsung Galaxy S5.
The main camera apparently packs a 7-megapixel sensor, with full HD video shooting capabilities and there’s a 2-megapixel front-facing camera as well.
Of course, the phone is listed as running Android 4.4.2 KitKat as expected.
These specs are vaguely similar to those we’ve seen bandied about so far, apart from previous reports suggest the phone would have a 4.47-inch display and slightly higher 1.5GB of RAM.
Also, earlier rumours suggested the phone would have an 8-megapixel rear camera, which would be more plausible than the 7-megapixels listed in these benchmarks.
We know the S5 Dx is supposed to be a mid-range device, but these specs pale in comparison to the flagship Samsung Galaxy S5, so hopefully it’ll be considerably cheaper too.
The device is tipped to feature the same IP67 water and dust resistant certification as its bigger brother, but there’s no word on whether it’ll come with the fingerprint scanner or heart rate monitor.
Currently there’s no indication as to when the Samsung Galaxy S5 Dx will be released, but judging by the frequency of the leaks, we’d guess it’s soon.
