Samsung Galaxy S4 specs and design teased in rendered image

Ahead of the eagerly awaited Samsung Galaxy S4 release date, a new rendered Samsung Galaxy S4 image has claimed to offer an insight into the potential design of the next-generation handset.

Far from official, the latest Samsung Galaxy S4 render, which appears to be little more than a collection of pieced together rumours, shows a metal framed handset that has done away with a physical home button, instead making way for a pair of forward-facing speakers.

Hitting the web courtesy of Twitter user @tamerallyy, the claimed Samsung Galaxy S4 image shows a device with a distinctly HTC-esque appearance, forgoing the Samsung Galaxy S3 styled curved plastic finish in favour of a metal shell and removable back plate.

With the Samsung Galaxy S4 image shown alongside a selection of claimed Samsung Galaxy S4 specs, the upcoming handset, which is depicted hosting a physical camera shutter button, is tipped to feature a 5-inch Super AMOLED 1080p Full HD display, protected via a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Specs
In keeping with recent Samsung Galaxy S4 rumours, the newly reported Samsung Galaxy S4 specs, which we suggest we taken with a considerable pinch of salt given their less than official entrance into the public domain, have suggested the iPhone 5 rival will touch down with the Google Nexus 4 launched Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS in tow.

Unlike some reports, latest leaked Samsung Galaxy S4 rumours have pegged the device as running a 2GHz Exynos quad-core processor alongside 2GB of RAM and the option of 16GB, 32GB or 64GB worth of internal storage.

With the Samsung Galaxy S4 camera reported as being a 13-megapixel affair with 1080p Full HD video recording capabilities, the Samsung Galaxy S4 specs sheet is said to be rounded off by a second, 2-megapixel forward-facing camera, a hefty 3,100mAh battery and 4G LTE connectivity options.
