Samsung Galaxy S4 slated by HTC’s Benjamin Ho
The highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S4 was only unveiled last night, but the Samsung flagship is already receiving critical comments from rival smartphone manufacturers.
Benjamin Ho, HTC’s Chief Marketing Officer, has slated the Samsung Galaxy S4 for a lack of innovation and design enhancements.
Understandably believing the Samsung handset is vastly inferior to his company’s own HTC One, Ho suggested the HTC flagship was the best Android handset on offer.
“With a continuation of a plastic body and a larger screen being the most obvious physical change, Samsung’s new Galaxy pales in comparison to the all-aluminium unibody of the HTC One,” said Ho. “This is more of the same.”
The HTC One was recently launched by the Taiwanese company, with a UK release date set for April 2. It offers a 1.7GHz quad-core CPU with 2GB of RAM, running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS coupled with HTC’s Sense UI. The Samsung Galaxy S4 will ship in the UK with a 1.6GHz eight-core Exynos 5 processor and will provide the latest Google OS, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
“HTC remains the best option for those people looking for the best technology wrapped up in premium design. Our customers want something different from the mainstream, who appear to be the target for the Galaxy.”
Both the HTC One and the Samsung Galaxy S4 offer cutting-edge photographic technology. The HTC One utilises the new UltraPixel technology with f/2.0 for low-light shooting capabilities, as well as HTC Zoe software which brings still images to life in 3-second long mini-clips.
“Our customers want original cutting-edge technology, mouth-watering design and a premium feel from their mobiles, which is why we created the HTC One.”
The 4.7-inch HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4 are definitely two handsets to watch out for come their release in April. The Samsung Galaxy S4 UK release date has been set for April 26.
