Samsung Galaxy S4 screen leaks ahead of ‘Q1 2013’ launch

The expected Samsung Galaxy S4  screen has leaked online, with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S3 follow-on seemingly tipped to sport a 4.99-inch, 1080p Full HD display alongside a Q1 launch.

Snapped in a private demo booth during CES 2013, the newly leaked display, which is expected to feature on the as yet unconfirmed Samsung Galaxy S4, has been outed via a component roadmap with the latest AMOLED offering said to be a scratch under 5-inches in size, showing continued growth of the Samsung Galaxy S handsets.

Up on the current 4.8-inch Samsung Galaxy S3 display, the rumoured Samsung Galaxy S4 screen will reportedly boast a stunning 1080p Full HD resolution and an eye-watering 440 pixels-per-inch image density. Although as yet unconfirmed, the prematurely outed display has hinted at a Q1 2013 Samsung Galaxy S4 release date, suggesting a post MWC 2013 unveiling is on the cards.

Tipped as hosting 25 per cent improved power saving over past AMOLED offerings, Samsung has reportedly suggested that the new display will help improve battery life on future handsets although the increased size and pixel density could cause this to level out.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Rumours
Although Samsung has also shown off curved handset displays, recent reports of a flexible Samsung Galaxy S4 screen have been largely rubbished, with bendable displays currently believed to be too expensive and limited to produce for what is expected to be a high-yielding handset.

Further Samsung Galaxy S4 rumours have seen the still to be confirmed device handed everything from an eight-core processor to an elongated Samsung Galaxy S3-esque design, whilst supposedly leaked Samsung Galaxy S4 pictures have hinted at a device that will omit the traditional physical home button.

Of the most believable Samsung Galaxy S4 rumours, we can expect the handset to line up with a zippy 2GHz Exynos 5450 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and a heavily revised 13-megapixel rear-mounted camera.

With a second, 2-megapixel camera around front also expected to get the nod, the Samsung Galaxy S4 specs sheet is believed to be bolstered by the as yet unconfirmed Android 4.2 Key Lime Pie OS and the newly leaked 4.99-inch 1080p Full HD Super AMOLED display.

Whilst latest reports have pointed to a Q1 Samsung Galaxy S4 unveiling, recent Samsung Galaxy S4 release date rumours have claimed the handset will miss this window by a matter of weeks with an April arrival reportedly on the cards.

“Samsung is having plans to announce the next Galaxy S in April,” recent reports out of Samsung’s native South Korea stated recently.
