Samsung Galaxy S4 Pre-orders Open: Where you can buy one

With the April 26 Samsung Galaxy S4 release date now less than a month away, Samsung Galaxy S4 pre-orders have kicked off with a raft of UK network providers and smartphone retailers all offering the device.

Formally unveiled at a dedicated New York launch event earlier this month, the Samsung Galaxy S4 looks set to build on the strong foundation set by its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S3, with a 5-inch Full HD display and 1.9GHz quad-core processor added to the mix.

Although the UK is set to miss out on the eight-core Samsung Galaxy S4 options, instead benefitting from a quad-core device with 4G connectivity options, the handset, which lines up at just 7.9mm thick and benefits from 2GB of RAM, Google’s Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS and a 13-megapixel rear-mounted camera, has still generated much consumer interest.

With all major UK network providers and retailers set to stock the device, we round-up where you can make your Samsung Galaxy S4 pre-orders and what deals you can expect from where.

Phones 4u

Looking to tempt consumers to its multi network options, high street retailer Phones 4u has revealed that it “will be giving away the highest value pre-order bundle of any UK retailer.”

As well as giving ever customer making a Samsung Galaxy S4 pre-order the chance to win a Samsung Galaxy Camera and Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet, any customer taking the device through Phones 4u who opts for EE’s 4G services will receive a Google Play voucher up to £100.

Set to offer both the Blast Mist and White Frost Samsung Galaxy S4 colour options, Phones 4u has revealed it will offer the device free on a selection of £41 per month contracts, with the handset also available on £49 per month and £36 per month two year deals.

“Anticipation for the upcoming release of the new Samsung Galaxy S4 is really escalating and we’re excited about it hitting the store floors next month,” Scott Hooton, Chief Commercial Officer at Phones 4u said.

“In the pre-registration period alone, interest for the Samsung Galaxy S4 has surpassed the interest for its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy SIII, as well as the iPhone 4S, which until now DID hold the record for the highest volume of pre-registrations at Phones 4u.

“As pre-order for the Galaxy S4 launches today, we’re excited to see consumer reaction not only to the new smartphone, but our exclusive pre-order promotion that we’ve launched to give our Galaxy S4 customers the best experience possible on their new smartphone.  We’re expecting the pre-orders for Samsung’s latest device to smash through the Samsung Galaxy SIII’s record as the most pre-ordered smartphone of all time at Phones 4u.”

Three
With Three set to offer the device in line with the ever nearing April 26 Samsung Galaxy S4 release date, the network provider, which recently confirmed it has added almost 1 million customers in the past year, has revealed that wannabe owners will be able to get the handset free on deals as low as £35 per month.

“Following the phenomenal success of the Samsung Galaxy S III we’re very excited to bring the Samsung Galaxy S4 to Three for pre-order,” Tom Malleschitz, Three’s Marketing Direct said. “With so many great features, the Galaxy S4 is a sure fire crowd pleaser and as its Ultrafast ready.”

He added: “We have every confidence that customers will be able to enjoy great speeds and get the ultimate mobile internet experience without a hefty price tag on our new Ultrafast award-winning network with this phone”.

Offering the handset free on a £35 per month two year contract, Three will be pairing the device with the Ultimate Internet 500 plan. For those after a little extra, Three will also be providing the Samsung Galaxy S4 on The One Plan for £37 per month. Both deals come with All-You-Can-Eat data for improved usability and peace of mind.

Vodafone

Another of the leading networks to open Samsung Galaxy S4 pre-orders today, March 28, Vodafone has announced it will offer any customer trading in their old phone when taking up a Samsung Galaxy S4 pre-order £5 off monthly line rental, an offer that would bring the handset’s price down to £37 per month.

Pairing this sub £40 per month deal with a free handset, the Samsung Galaxy S4 on Vodafone will benefit from unlimited calls, unlimited text and 2GB of monthly data included as standard.

For those with more data hungry needs, the red-hued network has confirmed it will offer a 4GB monthly data inclusive Vodafone Red XL plan alongside the Samsung Galaxy S3, a deal that will set wannabe owners back £47 per month.

“The Samsung Galaxy S4 adds to Vodafone’s range of ‘4G-ready’ phones,” an official spokesperson for the company stated. “Getting one of our 4G-ready phones means a customer will be good to go as soon as Vodafone 4G arrives, bringing them ultra-fast internet and the best mobile video they’ve ever had from us.”

EE

The only UK network that will offer the Samsung Galaxy S4 with 4G coverage from launch, EE has revealed that it will offer the handset from launch with all EE Samsung Galaxy S4 pre-orders to see the handset partnered with a Samsung Galaxy S4 accessory pack worth £54.99.

“Pre-order now and get a Samsung accessory pack worth £54.99 containing an in-car charger, a flip case to match the colour of your phone and a 16GB memory card to double your phone storage,” the 4G offering network announced.

Not offering the Samsung Galaxy S4 free on any of its contracts, EE has confirmed that wannabe owners will be able to pick the handset up for just £19.99 up front when pairing the device with a hefty £56 per month, two year deal. For this considerable outlay, however, users will see their handset bolstered by 8GB of monthly 4G data as well as unlimited calls and unlimited texts.

For those looking for a more wallet friendly monthly outlet, the superfast network will provide the iPhone 5 rival on a £36 per month contract with a mere 500MB of data and an £179.99 up-front handset fee.
