Samsung Galaxy S4 cases released by Tech21

Tech21 has revealed the line of cases it will be releasing for the recently unveiled Samsung Galaxy S4.

Several other smartphone accessory manufacturers, such as Griffin, have already shown their Samsung Galaxy S4 accessories. Now Tech21 has revealed its three cases for the upcoming Samsung flagship handset.

All three are fitted with Tech21’s unique Impactology polymer material, which helps divert the shock of a knock or drop away from the handset for an additional protection level.

The Tech21 Impact Snap case comes in white and black to compliment the Samsung Galaxy S4 handset, with an easy clip-in application and distinctive orange interior. It will go on sale the same day as the Samsung flagship, April 26, with a price tag of £19.99. New Samsung Galaxy S3 owners could opt for the Tech21 Impact Snap with Cover, which features a folding flap to protect the front of the device. This case will also come in black and white for £24.99.

Tech21 are also launching the Impact Mesh case as an EE exclusive. The case offers a translucent cover with orange bumpers that protect the rear and sides of the handset. Retailing for £24.99 the case can be bought in Smokey or Clear finishes.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Features

The recently unveiled Samsung Galaxy S4 will ship as the world’s first eight-core smartphone, wielding a 1.6GHZ Eynos 5 processor with 2GB of RAM. Featuring a 5-inch Super AMOLED Full 1,920 x 1080p HD display with an image density of 441ppi, the Samsung Galaxy S4 is just 7.9mm thick.

Running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS, the Samsung Galaxy S4 offers a 13-megapixel camera in the rear, choosing not to opt into the UltraPixel technology of the HTC One. With a 2-megapixel snapper in the front, Samsung has done well to introduce a whole host of new camera features such as Eraser Shot, Dual Shot and Drama Shot.

The highly rumoured Samsung Galaxy Smart Pause and Smart Scroll are both present in the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the new Air View function allows the user to hover a finger over content to preview it, without actually having to touch the screen. Air Gesture allows a hovered fingered swipe to move through content without contact with the display.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 offers a 2,600mAh battery, with a microSD card expansion slot to expand the internal storage options, with 4G LTE, IR LED, Wi-Fi and BlueTooth connectivity rounding off its specs list.
