Samsung Galaxy Q folding display phone could be seen at MWC

The Samsung Galaxy Q folding display phone could be introduced at MWC 2013 later this month with a Youm foldable flexible display, latest reports have suggested.

Appearing alongside model number GT-B9150, the Samsung Galaxy Q would be the first handset to offer such a flexible display.

A folding display device from Samsung was first premiered in 2008 (pictured), but it seems the prototype was nowhere near ready for consumers.

Rumours of the existence of the Samsung Galaxy Q folding phone began back in October, but with nothing to fuel the chatter, they seemed to die down. However, after German site MobileGeeks.de posted an article about GLBenchmark testing a device with the Samsung GT-B9150 model number, the Samsung Galaxy Q rumour mill has reared its head once again.

Samsung Galaxy Q (GT-B9150) Features
The Samsung Galaxy Q features are rumoured to include a foldable dual AMOLED HD display with 1920 x 1080p resolution. The speculated total screen size could be 6-inches, with two 3-inch displays.

Other reported Samsung Galaxy Q specs could see the handset packing a 1.7GHz Exynos 5250 dual-core processor compared to the Samsung Galaxy S3 1.4GHz Exynos 4412 Quad.

Also potentially offering 2GB of RAM, a sizeable 3500mAh battery to power both screens, 8-megapixel camera in the rear and 2-megapixels in the front-facing camera, the ground-breaking Samsung Galaxy Q could be a powerful handset.

With the number of rumours currently surrounding the Samsung announcements at MWC later this month, all eyes are sure to be fixed on the South Korean electronics manufacturer.

The Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 are all reportedly going to feature in the Samsung  MWC unveiling, so it would make sense for the Samsung Galaxy Q to have its own event due to the brand new flexible screen technology it could potentially contain.
