Samsung Galaxy NotePRO release date set for February 4 as pre-orders open

The Samsung Galaxy NotePRO release date has been set for February 4 as the 12.2-inch high-end tablet is made available for pre-order.

Having been officially unveiled at CES 2014 earlier this month, the Korean tech giant has made the Samsung Galaxy NotePRO available for pre-order through its official online retail outlet with the iPad Air rival sporting a lofty £649 price tag.

Although the manufacturer has yet to make an official announcement about the tablet’s in store release, the company’s website now states that the tablet, which is available in both black and white colour schemes, is “scheduled to ship on Feb 4, 2014.”

Despite the premium price tag, the £649 Samsung Galaxy NotePRO is the Wi-Fi only model, with the Wi-Fi plus 3G option yet to be made available for order.

Running Google’s latest Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, the Samsung Galaxy NotePRO specs sheet sees the tablet’s 12.2-inch panel boast a stunning 2560 x 1600 pixel Full HD resolution.

Powered by a 1.9GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, the tablet adds a 9500mAh hour Lithium-Ion battery, microSD storage expansion up to 64GB and an 8-megapixel rear-mounted camera that is partnered with a secondary 2-megapixel snapper up front.

Lining up at just 7.95mm thick, the plastic bodied Samsung Galaxy NotePRO weighs a reasonable 750g.
