Samsung Galaxy Note Edge UK release date confirmed

More than two months after the phone’s formal unveiling, Samsung has confirmed the innovative Galaxy Note Edge will be released in the UK later this month.

Announced at IFA 2014 back in September, the Galaxy Note Edge is a spinoff to the flagship Galaxy Note 4 with a special, bent screen party piece.

In a futuristic attempt to create a more user-friendly smartphone experience, Samsung has flexed the device’s 5.6-inch, QHD display around the handset’s right-hand edge. This edge display can be customised to show favourite apps, shortcuts and other desired content.

Samsung can confirm that the UK is one of the markets that has been chosen to range the Galaxy Note Edge,” an official Samsung spokesperson told TrustedReviews.

They added: “The device will be available to buy from selected retailers from Friday 28th November, with the option to pre-order from Samsung eStore and Carphone Warehouse on Friday 14th November.”

The late November Galaxy Note Edge UK release date follows the phone’s launch in Japan and Samsung’s Native Korean.

While tomorrow, November 14, will see us Brits offered the chance to pre-order the Note Edge, it will also see the handset go on sale Stateside.

There is currently no word on UK pricing for the LG G Flex rival.

Eye-catching screen technology aside, the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is a true powerhouse of the smartphone space.

Running a 2.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor alongside 3GB of RAM, the handset’s specs sheet is further enhanced by a 16-megapixel, OIS enhanced camera and an S-Pen stylus.
