The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 should pack a QHD screen resolution according to a new report.
Building on the success of the 2013 Samsung Galaxy Note 3, the Note 4 should feature a stunning QHD screen to rival the LG G3.
According to a GSMArena source, the Note 4 is going under the codename Muscat with the model number N910.
The leaked table shows the Note 4 packing a 1440 x 2560p QHD display, albeit with the same 5.7-inch screen size as its predecessor.
Prior launch history has shown a 0.2-inch screen growth pattern between Note generations, but it looks like Samsung believes it has found the sweet spot.
However, there are rumours the Note 4 will feature three-sided YOUM display, which would give the smartphone one slanted screen edge. In fact, even Samsung has teased the Note 4 may pack this new technology.
This may well not factor into the standard 5.7-inch diagonal screen dimension, so the device could have a larger screen than this table suggests.
That N910 model number also suggests the Galaxy Note 4 will feature a Samsung Exynos processor. Usually Samsung uses a 0 for Exynos devices, 5 for Snapdragon CPUs, 6 for LTE and 2 for dual-SIM smartphones.
The lack of a 6 in the model number isn’t necessarily a sign the Note 4 will lack 4G compatibility though, as we sincerely doubt the next Note flagship will lack such high profile connectivity options.
Other Galaxy Note 4 features are rumoured to include a 20.1-megapixel camera and the same water- and dust-resistant certification as the Samsung Galaxy S5.
As to whether either the fingerprint or heart rate sensor technology will make an appearance is yet to be seen though.
