Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Quad Core Tablet With Wacom Stylus Priced At $549, Due Soon?

We’ve already had some hands-on time with Samsung’s Galaxy Note 10.1, its high-end Android tablet with pressure-sensitive stylus. However, when we saw it, the tab was running a fast dual-core CPU, which has since been upgraded to the same quad-core Samsung Exynos that’s found in the Galaxy S3.

So oodles of power, a 1,280 x 800 PLS (IPS-equivalent) screen, expandable storage through microSD and, most importantly, a pressure-sensitive Wacom-tech digitizer stylus that Samsung calls the S-Pen along with the software to make use of it like Adobe Photoshop Touch. This is what you’ll be getting for around $550, if a pre-order page posted (since pulled) over on Amazon is anything to go by.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1
That translates to a mere £353, though as usual we’ll probably end up paying more on this side of the Atlantic. However, considering that for now this is the closest you can get to a portable Cintiq for under £800, we reckon it might be a bit of a bargain even at £400 for designers, photographers and the artistically inclined.
