A snapshot of what appears to be the Samsung Galaxy A8 has leaked, following endless rumours of the handset’s existence.
The leak comes courtesy of Nowhereelse.fr, picturing the purported Galaxy A8 alongside its Galaxy A7 sister device.
This gives us a huge clue about the handset – the A8 is clearly bigger than the 5.5-inch A7, so it’s likely previous rumours of a 5.7-inch smartphone are true.
The front of the device looks to be a clear departure from the Galaxy A-series design language we’ve seen from previous handsets.
Instead, it appears as though Samsung has opted for a more Galaxy S-series approach to its next mid-range smartphone.
We also get a look in on the handset from various angles, which clearly shows that the handset is quite thin. That fits with the rumoured 5.9mm profile we’ve heard whispers of before.
The flash and the speaker have also traded places on the rear, but it’s otherwise very prosaic Samsung design.

We’ve already heard plenty of rumours regarding the Samsung Galaxy A8.
Just last month, a benchmark seemingly revealed the device to be a 5.5-inch mid-range handset with a Snapdragon 615 chip.
A previous report had pointed to a 5.7-inch display however, which is corroborated by this latest leak.
A separate leak suggested we’d see a fingerprint sensor included on the device, as well as an assured European launch. Samsung, of course, has yet to reveal any official information about the handset.
