Samsung Chromebook 2 release date confirmed

The Samsung Chromebook 2 release date has been confirmed with the device touching down in May.

Samsung has confirmed that you will be able to get the Chromebook 2 in the UK from May, but the exact date is dependent on which screen size you’d prefer.

The 11.6-inch black Chromebook 2 will be available from May 1, but the 11.6-inch white and 13.6-inch Chromebook 2 won’t be available until May 12.

“Since we introduced our first Chromebook in 2011, Samsung has been committed to continually developing the design and features of the series to meet our customers’ ever-changing needs, while staying true to the core Chromebook attitudes of simplicity, speed and security,” said Simon Standford, VP of Samsung IT and Mobile Division. “The Chromebook 2 Series does just that, which is why we’re delighted to be bringing the devices to the UK market.”

Samsung has yet to announce the pricing for either Chromebook model for the UK.
