Yet more rumours have pointed to a big camera upgrade when Apple refreshes its flagship iPhone handset later this year.
A report from Japanese site Feng.com (via GforGames) seems to back up previous reports claiming the iPhone 6s will feature a 12-megapixel sensor, built by Sony.
However, this latest piece of juicy gossip adds the possibility the snapper will also feature Sony’s RGBW colour technology, which would offer iPhone users better performance in low-light conditions.
The site also refuted recent rumours suggesting Apple would be reverting to a HTC-like Dual Camera approach for the iPhone 6s, which always seemed a little unlikely to most observers

The pixel upgrade will be a welcome boost for iPhone users, who’ve been using 8-megapixel snappers since the iPhone 4S, launched back in 2011. Apple has made those pixels larger with the iPhone 6’s large 1.5-micron pixels, but on paper the iPhone’s specs still look a little wimpy against those touted by Samsung and Sony’s flagship handsets.
It’ll also be interesting to see whether Apple upgrade the standard-sized iPhone 6s smartphone to include the Optical Image Stabilisation technology.
Although the iPhone 6S release has been tipped for the summer months, look for it to land as normal in September.
