Valentine’s Day has come and gone but Nvidia and CD Projekt Red are sharing the love over on Twitter. The two companies shared a completely authentic and definitely not planned social media exchange to start teasing a new limited edition Cyberpunk 2077 GPU.
The toe-curling Twitter convo saw the two gaming-adjacent accounts begin and quickly resolve a request for a special GPU.
In a stunning feat of engineering, Nvidia seemed to go from thinking about the Cyberpunk 2077 team’s suggestion (if my emoji lingo is up to scratch) to having a teaser image of the ready-made graphics card in just nine minutes – crikey.

Jokes aside, the idea of an Nvidia graphics card made especially for Cyberpunk 2077 is likely to get any CD Projekt Red fanatic excited. Unfortunately, the teaser image is just that… a teaser – going little way to show us what the final design will look like. The image gives us a glimpse of what looks like some yellow accents along the card and that’s about it.

We may know very little about the special design of the Nvidia/Cyberpunk 2077 crossover GPU but we know even less about the specs. The short Twitter back-and-forth gave nothing away in that department.
The Twitterati immediately began speculating – from theories the GPU will be a modified RTX 2070 named the RTX 2077 to being released as a modification of the upcoming RTX 2080 Ti Super. At this point, either could be true and we will just have to wait and see.

Eager Cyberpunk 2077 fans will be happy to have gotten some exciting news with this reveal. The last big news coming out of CD Projekt Red was the surprise delay of the upcoming game.
In January, it was announced that the PC, PS4 and Xbox One release of Cyberpunk 2077 would be pushed back from April 16th to just before the release of the PS5 and Xbox Series X – September 17th.
