Rockstar teases new GTA 5 trailer

Rockstar Games will be releasing three new GTA 5 trailers tomorrow that take a closer look at the game’s playable characters Michael, Franklin and Trevor.

With the second official GTA V trailer posted on the Rockstar YouTube channel five months ago, GTA 5 news has been a little scarce of late, but fans can look forward to new trailers launching tomorrow, April 30.

Entitled “Michael. Franklin. Trevor. Trailers”, the Rockstar announcement lists a trailer launch time of 4.30 BST, so stay tuned tomorrow to discover more about the GTA 5 protagonists.

GTA 5 Features
New GTA 5 screenshots were posted online last month, revealing the gaming potential of the new title. Showcasing some of the new locations encapsulated in GTA 5, the screenshots also show some of the activities players will be able to do, such as scuba diving, skydiving and motorbike riding.

Potentially the first Grand Theft Auto game to offer underwater swimming functionality, GTA V should include more realistic skydiving action and a wide range of vehicles to cruise around in.

The game will revolve around the three playable characters that will be expanded upon in tomorrow’s trio of trailers. What we know so far is that Michael is a family man, struggling with a life without crime and with his family, Trevor is a violent career criminal wreaking havoc and Franklin is a young repo man.

Anyone finding themselves frustrated by the intermittent leaks of GTA 5 news will not be rewarded anytime soon. Rockstar has said they are doing it deliberately to make sure the game doesn’t feel tired pre-launch.

“As we have said before, we have often has long gaps between asset releases on previous games and will continue to do so in the future,” said Rockstar Games. “We are sorry if you find this frustrating, but please understand, we don’t do this because ‘we don’t care about our fans’. ‘We don’t respect our fans,’ ‘hate GTA fans etc’.”

“We do it because we want to make sure we only release 100 per cent correct information, and because we want to keep plenty back for the actual release so there are still lots of surprises when you play it.”

The GTA 5 release date is September 17 and the game will first ship for PS3, Xbox 720 and PC, with PS4 and potential Xbox 720 versions coming later.
