Rhinoshield Crash Guard is an ultra-slim bumper for your iPhone

If you’re forever dropping your iPhone, this is the product for you. It’s an ultra-slim bumper that offers amazing protection without making your handset too fat to fit in your pocket.

The bumper is only 2.5mm thick, so it won’t fatten up your handset too much. It weighs only 12g too, so won’t add much weight to it. While your phone is protected you can still access the screen and all the usual buttons and ports, so you won’t need to take it out to use it.

And it’ll keep your iPhone safe and sound. After a drop test from a height of over 20 feet (7 metres), the handset comes out smiling and working as normal.

It’ll also withstand being run over by a car (though you’ll need a screen protector too, unless you want a cracked display). Check out the video at the end of this story to see it happen.

The case has a matte finish, making it easy to grip and harder to scratch.

The makers claim it is “much stronger than anything ever created in the space” of bumper cases. This is due to a new polymer blend it’s developed, that’s capable of “absorbing tremendous impact without adding any bulk”.

It’s available for the iPhone 5, 5S, 5C, 6 and 6 Plus, and comes in six colours. And best of all, it’s made in Cambridge right here in the UK.

It’s already raised over £130,000 on Kickstarter, and the target was only £6,000. It will be funded on November 8, and will ship that same month.
