Resident Evil 7 and Batman Arkham VR are timed-exclusives on PlayStation VR

Sony has confirmed that Resident Evil 7 and Batman Arkham VR will be exclusive to its upcoming headset for quite some time.
Each title will be exclusive to PlayStation VR for a total of 12 months, and will presumably become compatible with Oculus Rift and HTC Vive following this window of exclusivity.
Batman Arkham VR will launch alongside PlayStation VR on October 13, putting you in the shoes of the caped crusader in a truly immersive superhero experience.
Resident Evil 7 will release on January 24, 2017 for PS4 PSVR, Xbox One and PC, giving PSVR players exclusive reign over the VR component of Capcom’s horrifying adventure until 2018 at the earliest.

Coming out of the gate with such big exclusive titles is a good move on Sony’s part, moreso when you consider its headset is only £349, significantly cheaper than its competition.
PS4 Pro will follow in its virtual footsteps on November 10, marking the second major piece of hardware Sony is launching this year.
We’ve already played a selection of PlayStation VR titles, including Battlezone, Farpoint and VR Worlds.
We’ll have more extensive coverage when the headset launches later this month.
