Report: Samsung will only release dual curved edge Galaxy Note 7
Anticipation is building for the upcoming release of Samsung’s next phablet: the Galaxy Note 7 – or is that the Galaxy Note 6?
Last week saw Samsung publish a UA Profile for a phone with the model number reportedly assigned to the Galaxy Note 6 (SM-N930), suggesting the device was nearly ready for launch.
And now, a report in the Korea Herald has claimed the phablet will arrive in a dual curved edge version only – that’s right, no standard flat version.
It follows a similar report from Korea’s Electronic Times which also suggested the demise of the flat-screen model.
If the reports are to be believed then, the upcoming Galaxy Note 7 will look a lot like the Galaxy S7 Edge, making the Note 7 the first of its kind to come with a dual edge display.

Previous models have featured curved edges on one side of the screen, but never a dual-edge design.
The reports are yet to be confirmed, of course – there’s been no word from Samsung on whether we can expect just the one version of the Note 7.
Aside from the dual edge display, a leak out of China suggests the device will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 processor, Adreno 530 GPU, 6GB RAM, 256GB storage, and a QHD screen resolution.
We’re expecting to see the Galaxy Note 7 arrive this August, but, again, there’s been no official word on release dates from Samsung.
