Microsoft has reportedly splashed out between $100 and $200 million on the developer behind the exceedingly popular to-do list app Wunderlist.
The Wall Street Journal reports the deal, which apparently falls somewhere between £65m and £130m, will see Wunderlist join the likes of Accompli and caldendar app Sunrise as recent additions to the Microsoft stable.
The Journal cites sources ‘familiar with the matter,’ but neither Microsoft nor the German start up 6Wunderkinder GmbH, has confirmed the reports as of yet.
The firm’s purchase of Acompli gave it a major player in the third-party email space, while Sunrise has long been a popular choice for those seeking an improved calendar app.
Wanderlist would add to Microsoft’s OneNote as an in-house list-making application with cloud syncing capabilities. Currently it is available on iOS, Android, Windows Phones, Windows and Mac OS X.

Should the deal be confirmed, Microsoft’s plans for the Wanderlist app remain to be seen. The firm quickly rebranded Acompli as an Outlook app for iOS and Android platform, while Sunrise has yet to suffer the same fate.
